Cabañas Castle

Cabañas Castle still retains its monumental presence. Located in the town of Cabañas del Castillo, this fortress stands over bare crags. Its origins, as you will see on your visit, are Moslem, but it has undergone several remodellings throughout its history and has been occupied by several Christian military orders, such as the Order of the Knights of Truxillo and the Order of Calatrava.

After going through the entrance arch that welcomes you, you will realise that the greatest treasure this castle holds currently are the spectacular views that you can see from it, as it offers a full panorama of the Sierra de Las Villuercas. A true delight to visit.
