    For three days Hervás goes back to the 15th century to remember when the Jews were expelled from Spain.

    Every year in summer the town of Hervás, in Cáceres, remembers a local historical event: the difficulties suffered by the Jews after the Edict of Expulsion was issued by the Catholic Monarchs in 1492. The event includes plays and other activities, organised by the locals in the Jewish quarter of Hervás. It finishes with a play on this topic, which changes every few years.

    The past is not forgotten and you can discover it in person if you walk down the streets, which have a 15th century atmosphere, especially the Jewish quarter.
