This singular strawberry tree, which is over 200 years old, is in the Las Hurdes region of the province of Cáceres.
The strawberry tree of Guijarroblanco or Los Barrerotes, of the species arbutus unedo, has a maximum trunk circumference of nearly five metres and is well over two centuries old, as it was planted in around 1780. It is located south of Castillo, a farmstead belonging to the municipality of Pinofranqueado in Las Hurdes.
