Mirabel Palace, in Plasencia, is one of the most important buildings in the city.
This fortified building was built by the Duke of Plasencia, Don Álvaro de Zúñiga, and his wife, Doña Isabel de Pimentel, in the 15th century, on the expropriated lands that used to be the Jewish quarter in Plasencia.
The façade, as you will see, is made of stone masonry and large ashlar blocks. Inside there is a two-storey Neoclassical courtyard, consisting of two semicircular arches, and the main staircase, made in the Renaissance style.
