The mountain cliffs and crags are the ideal habitat for such birds.
Cliff-nesting birds are the star attraction of this small mountain range in the east of Badajoz. They usually live in rocky areas, which are plentiful in the mountain range that towers above the Zújar river and La Serena reservoir.
Visitors can see Bonelli's eagles, golden eagles, griffon vultures, Egyptian vultures and black storks, as well as species more common to forest areas, such as black vultures and goshawks. The abundant supply of prey in the area also attracts the Iberian imperial eagle.
