  • Built as a residence and administrative centre for the landlords, the interesting feature of this palace is the paintings to be found in the chapel.

Its name comes from the chain which there used to be at the entrance to the courtyard of the palace now known as the Old Palace and located in the city of Trujillo.

The original purpose of this building was mainly residential, but it was also a centre for livestock breeding and for the administration of the owner's lands, although a certain defensive character is present.

Inside the buildings there is a 16th century chapel and a vault featuring paintings in the Mannerist style. The iconographic elements to be found in the chapel are most interesting feature of this unusual place.

Access to the palace is through a doorway with a rounded arch which opens in the wall and above which there is the coat of arms Hinojosa, Pizarro, Calderón-Rol and Solís.
